Chiang Rai countryside, local life, Rice fields, White temple and Khun Korn waterfall

Itinerary

Pick up time : 08.30 – 08.45 am

      A covered pick up truck will transfer you to the starting point, outside Chiang Rai city. it takes about 15 minutes. After a short safety briefing and personalized bicycle fitting, we begin our cycling through villages, rice fields and then follow the Lao River upstream. While you are cycling you will discover the real rural Thailand and see the local lifestyle. We stop and visit the White temple (Wat Rong Khun) and then have lunch at a local restaurant near the temple.
       In the afternoon we will take a car to visit Khun Korn waterfall.  Where you will enjoy walking through bamboo forest and rain forest to Khun Korn waterfall, the highest and most scenic waterfall in Chiang Rai, 70 metres high (20 minutes nature walk to the waterfall). After that we will cycle down hill to visit local fish conservation where you can feed the fish. Then countinue cycling to see more local lifestyle, rice fields and various fruit orchards. You will be back your hotel around 05.30 – 06.30 pm.

Distance : Total cycling distance is about 40 – 50 km ,  Mix dirt road and sealed road , Some gently rolling hills in the morning.
Fitness Level: Suitable for participants in good fitness condition

Khun Korn Waterfall is closed often during rainy season (July 1 – September 30). We do not recommend this cycling program between July 1 to October 31.
