Pick up time: 8.15 – 8.30 am from hotel in Chiang Rai city.

Begin your day with a pickup from your hotel in Chiang Rai city. Travel by covered pickup truck to the starting point of your cycling adventure. It takes about 1 hour.  After a short safety briefing and personalized bicycle fitting, start cycling through villages, farmland, and a wetland conservation area.

Experience the local lifestyle and countryside as you ride. Visit a buffalo village where local people raise buffaloes for a living. Stop to have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, continue cycling through some small gently rolling hills and pass many rice fields, cassava, and pineapple plantations to the Golden Triangle. And then visit the Golden Triangle view point, where Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar meet.

Visit the House of Opium (Opium Museum) and learn about the history of the opium trade that led to the area being called the Golden Triangle. After that, cycle to Chiang Saen, the ancient city on the back road. Finally, cycle along the ancient city moat and wall and finish your bicycle tour in the ancient city.

Remark: It takes around 1-1.30 hour by car from Chiang Saen (finishing point) back to Chiang Rai
